About TARORIA
TARORIA is an online tarot project where you can explore card meanings and use tarot spreads for questions about relationships, feelings, work, money, the future, and other situations.
The project is designed to make tarot clear and accessible without reducing every card to a single fixed meaning. A card is interpreted in the context of the question, its position in the spread, and the cards around it.
How TARORIA works
TARORIA includes online tarot spreads as well as a reference guide to all 78 cards.
Each spread has its own structure and purpose. Some are designed for a direct question, such as “Will he come back?” or “Yes or no?”. Others look at a situation in more detail — for example, the Celtic Cross or Past, Present, Future.
After choosing the cards, you can read the meaning of each position and consider how the cards work together. The result is not based on a single keyword attached to each card: the question and the structure of the spread matter as well.
The tarot tradition we use
TARORIA primarily follows the Rider–Waite–Smith tradition, one of the most widely used systems in modern tarot.
The imagery and interpretations take into account the traditional symbolism associated with the cards, while the texts are written specifically for TARORIA. When explaining symbolism, we distinguish between details that can actually be seen in the traditional imagery and the meanings that tarot practice has associated with them.
Tarot has many traditions and schools of interpretation. The Rider–Waite–Smith approach used on TARORIA is one of them, not the only possible way to read the cards.
How we write about tarot
Our card meanings and editorial articles are written to be useful in an actual reading, not simply as lists of keywords.
We distinguish between the Major and Minor Arcana, suits, court cards, positions in a spread, and the context of the question. The same card can take on a different emphasis in a relationship reading, a career question, or a position describing an obstacle or possible outcome.
We also avoid presenting symbolic interpretations as established facts. A tarot reading can suggest a tendency, dynamic, possibility, or perspective, but it cannot guarantee that a particular event will happen or establish another person’s private thoughts as fact.
Tarot and the future
Questions about the future are a normal part of tarot practice, and TARORIA includes spreads created specifically for them.
At the same time, a possible future is not presented as something fixed. Circumstances change, people make decisions, and those decisions can change the direction of a situation.
For the same reason, TARORIA does not promise guaranteed outcomes, exact dates, or certainty where the cards cannot reasonably provide it.
A tool for interpretation, not a substitute for professional advice
TARORIA is intended for tarot readings, interpretation, and personal exploration.
The information and readings on the site should not replace professional medical, legal, financial, psychological, or other specialist advice when such advice is needed. Important real-world decisions remain with the person making them.
